Dad in India

Well, India has been interesting. I will only be here 3 days, and there is one day left. I have taken the camera as we are in the car driving to appointments...and driving is a real experience. It is like England and South Africa in that they drive on the left side of the street, and like China in that they drive in as many lanes as they want - as long as they can squeeze in between another car or bus or truck! And cows wander around wherever they want. There are some old buildings, and a lot of people. I am in Gurgaon, a city right outside New Delhi. New Delhi has around 13 million people!

Joan and Theo

Theo and I have a lot of fun summer days together.

Race

So I ran a race in Annapolis yesterday. It was pretty fun! These are my running friends - we go running almost every day together. I am on the left, Amelia is in the middle and Jewel is on the right. We had a lot of fun. Its been a while since I've run a 5K and I forgot how much fun they are!! Here are a couple more pictures:

Here we are stretching before the race. That is Jewel's little girl, Olivia.

4th of July!

We had a pretty fun fourth of July yesterday. In the morning, we went to the Nationals game - and they won!! It was the first game we've been to this year that they won, so it was very exciting. There were a ton of people there, it was the most crowded we've ever seen it, it was really fun. A guy named DC Washington sang the National Anthem - I thought that was pretty funny. And, we finally got the first of our long awaited president bobble heads - here is a picture for you:

This is George Washington. All of the bobble heads are going to be running - because of the race they run every game. Mom, you might remember that.

Last night, we went to the fourth of July concert on the west lawn of the capitol. It was pretty cool (and VERY crowded). It was hosted by Tony Danza and Little Richard performed. We got to see the fireworks accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra. We met some friends there - Rob Koelliker (Dave Koelliker's brother) and his wife.

Celebrating the nation's birthday at the nation's capitol is pretty cool!
