Almost four months

Although Mya is not quite four months yet--a week shy actually. We took her to her four months appointment today with Cathy. She weighs 12 lbs. 12 oz and is 24 1/2 long. Wow! She has doubled her weight. She did really well with the shots. We were impressed. We just love having her around. We have also appreciated Cathy and all her help this past week. It was nice to have a real meal again. Thank you!

Mya's Bling

Mya had an exciting day. She got her nails painted, wore a new outfit and had her ears pierced. Yep, that's right...pierced. Check out the pics below and the pics on our blog. We even have a video of her on our blog. Peek your interest? Probably. We love our little girl and we are just excited to help her accessorize. Tim especially. She is so beautiful.

Warm Day

So, its been unseasonably cold here. I know I can't talk because mom and dad probably can't remember what its like when its not snowing, but still, its been colder than normal. Well...yesterday it was 50 degrees and sunny! It was SO nice. We went to the park with Piper and Kristi. Christopher especially enjoyed the swing.

Saying goodbye to Anna

We dropped Anna off at the MTC today. I am sure Tim and Cathy got some better pictures than I did, but I wanted to post some for the family to see. Anna was braver than I was when I entered the MTC almost four years ago. (This is Janine by the way.) I was nervous and excited but all the emotions made me feel a little too anxious. Anna was much more calm. I believe she will be in the MTC until March 25th. I thought I overheard her say something to that effect to Cathy. Check with her for the exact date and address. I am sure she would love mail. Enjoy the pictures:

The last family picture before they told us to put the cameras away.
Mya was almost in every picture.
Remember the dork dot? They call it the celestial dot now.
They told Anna to have one of her family members put the tag on her.
A great picture of Anna before she left. Mya will miss her.
A similar shot to the one take when Tim entered the MTC. The only thing missing is Sarah and the new person added...good ol' Mya.

Lake Michigan at St. Joseph

We went to St. Joe's about 2 weeks ago...it was icy!!! It was totally different from last year around the same time of year.
The ice by the lake was about 15ft or more high...

Anna on an ice mound by the shore...
This is right by the shore. There were a lot of cracks in the ice, which created some amazing effects.
An icy shore on Lake Michigan close to sunset.

Snowy Days

Anna and Mackie...
Lots of snow...and cold...

We have been getting lots of snow, like many of you, and it has been cold. Not as cold as Madison, but it was down to -17 on Friday! And we have about 30 inches in the yard. It is easily piled 4 feet by the driveway. Looking forward to Spring...

Happy Birthday, Theo!

I can't believe our little boy is 2.  We love Theo so much and are so glad he is a part of our lives.  Thank you for those who were able to get in on a little of his birthday fun.  Also, thank you to all who sent gifts and birthday wishes.  We love our family.
By the way, the squinting look he gives in his photos is his smile.
We told Theo that if he continued to lay on the balloon it would pop and sure enough it did.
I attempted a truck cake for Theo.  It didn't turn out exactly the way I had planned but at least he thought it was cool.
He thought his present was pretty cool that he got from G & G.

I think it is great how Theo insists on using a fork to eat.  I asked him how the cake tasted and he said, "Good."  I love how he says good, cool, and fun.

4 Month Update

I know, lots of posts from us lately - what is everyone else up to?? Christopher had his four month appointment today and did awesome! He weighs 14 lbs, 9 oz (50%) and is 26 1/2 in long!!! (95%). He got some shots today and was a real tough guy, although he has needed a few extra hugs from his mom.

Dave's Favorite Christmas Present Ever

Hopkins' Trip to Utah

We had such a fun Christmas in Utah and Christopher loved seeing all of his aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents, as well as lots of his parents friends. Here are a few highlights

Christopher was very festive.

Hangin out with the cousins. We got to go bowling, to The Pie, and to an awesome bingo party

We went to Texas Roadhouse and Temple Square with Tim, Janine, and Mya. It was so much fun to see them!

We went to a play group and Christopher met John, Daniel, Kaylie, Josh, Kate and Andrew. As you can tell, he had a lot of fun playing with them. We also saw Scott, Katie and Timmy. The last time we saw Timmy was about 3 weeks after he was born! We went to lunch with Ellen, Dan, Eden and the two Amelias. Amelia Linford really liked Christopher's hair :)

Merry Christmas everyone!
